About Us
Gary S. Rose, Ph.D.
is a
practicing clinical psychologist and a
member of the steering committee of
MINT, the Motivational Interviewing
Network of Trainers. MINT is an
international organization of MI
trainers working under the tutelage of
Wm. Miller and Stephen Rollnick, the
originators of MI. Dr. Rose has been
teaching motivational interviewing
techniques to health care professionals
since 1992.
Gary provides training and
consultation to various clinical and
research units within Tufts School of
Medicine, Harvard Medical School, the
University of Massachusetts Medical
Center, and the University of Wales
College of Medicine. Dr. Rose has worked
closely with Dr. Rollnick on the
development of MI instructional tools.
Dr. Rose holds teaching appointments at
Tufts School of Medicine and the
Massachusetts School of Professional
Psychology.

Ellen Glovsky, Ph.D., RD, LDN
is a Registered Dietitian and a member
of the faculty of Northeastern
University where she teaches courses in
nutrition, public health, health
behavior change, and Motivational
Interviewing. Ellen also maintains a
private practice in which she utilizes
Motivational Interviewing in weight
management, the treatment of eating
disorders and nutrition for the
prevention of illness.
Ellen is an experienced presenter,
trainer, and teacher. She has taught at
the Boston University School of Public
Health and conducted trainings for a
wide variety of institutions, companies,
and other organizations in New England
and around the country. She is
especially interested in helping clients
in making changes in their attitudes and
behavior regarding food by examining the
barriers that keep them from caring for
their bodies, minds, and spirits. The
goal of this work is to make peace with
food.
